Building the execution platform for a newly awarded 1.5 GW renewable portfolio

THE CHALLENGE

An international investment platform had secured a 1.5 GW renewable energy portfolio. While the investment structure and development pipeline were already in place, the client lacked the operational platform required to execute at scale: no local leadership structure, no delivery organization, no governance framework, and no integrated PMO capable of coordinating parallel workstreams, contractors, and reporting obligations. 

The challenge was not capital deployment — it was transforming an investment thesis into an executable operating platform within months, not years. 

OUR APPROACH

Voltae Consulting acted as the client’s embedded execution partner, deploying a senior operational structure directly into the organization.

THE CHALLENGE

A rapidly growing infrastructure and energy platform was managing multiple assets, contractors, and parallel execution workstreams across different stages of development and operations. As the platform scaled, execution governance became increasingly fragmented: PMO tracking lacked standardization, reporting quality varied between projects, contract administration became reactive, and technical and operational teams were operating without a unified management structure.

The client needed to strengthen operational control and reporting visibility without building a large internal organization.
